3d models for JHeretic/JHexen from 1.8.6 to 1.9.7
Dear Support!
I copied all "data/jhexen/auto" folder from 1.8.6 to 1.9.7, but it only captured textures, music, particles and hud, but didnt captured 3d models
I have next files in my "data/jhexen/auto" folder in 1.9.7:
Also I tried to copy all of these files to "snowberry/addons" folder, and set all ckechboxes in snowberry to load this addons. After this I saw, that loading took more time (with "loading addons" message), but I still not see 3d models in game (and some of the items even did not drawing, for example quartz flask).
Is it a bug? If not - what I'm doing wrong?
Here is my "data/jhexen/auto" folder:

If you afraid of "launch exe" - please unzip this exe with latest 7-zip: http://7-zip.org/ or ask me to upload this with another archive format.
Thank you in advance
P.S. Please note, that my model pack is not full - I removed all unnecessary models which I dont like (for example ettin or flechette models).
Here is example of models, which exists in my pack:

Same issue reproduced for JHeretic - please tell me, if I should upload model packs I use for JHeretic
I've had a look at this using the JHRP from the Dday website. A few models wouldn't load in 1.9.7 (build 425). 99% of them did however, load correctly.
In Build430, all of the models, except one, loaded correctly; the teleporter fog dmd. The below message was printed about it, must have been over 100 times in a row, in my out file.
Warning: Failed locating model "Particles/FX/RespawnFOG/TeleFog.dmd", ignoring.
EDIT: Upon looking, the above error is the result of a mistake in one of the deds in the JHRP (the model path was wrong). Correcting the ded, removes the above error message.
Though it seems Dday prints an error message about not finding a model, for every single frame that uses said model, rather than just printing it once.
Though the hud weapon models are displayed way too far down in 425 and 430, to the degree that one can't actually see them if one is using the STBAR hud. That is a bug.

Hotfile: http://hotfile.com/dl/149139688/e413e63 ... s.exe.html
Could you please try them?

There are two seperate reasons why, one of which may be an issue with Dday. The other is simply because the main Heretic deds have been updated since 1.8.6.
1. Included in your model packs in 'Data/JHeretic' are deds called 'models.ded'. Your packs use these deds to locate the model deds.
1.8.6 would automatically pick up this models.ded on account of a left over and, by default unused, include in 1.8.6's JHeretic.ded.
That include was removed from Jheretic.ded in 1.9.7.
2. The bug with Dday, is that in your model.ded you tell Dday to look up '*.ded' in 'defs/Jheretic/models'.
1.9.7 doesn't appear to recognize the "*" correctly; rather than pick up anything with a .ded extension in the folders and sub folders it is pointed to, it instead looks for a ded file called "*.ded'.
Ok - I will wait until it's fixed
How can I "workaround" this:
1) By editing Jheretic.ded in 1.9.7
2) By deleting all deds from my model pack
3) By editing all deds in my model pack
4) I should not do anything, because this will be fixed too
5) Other way
Thanks
Inside your PK3's, create a new folder called 'Auto', at 'Defs/Jheretic'. Move all your model deds into it.
Dday auto loads anything in an auto folder.
Thanks a lot - it works now (even with teleports in Heretic) both for Heretic and Hexen! Here are the working model packs for 1.9.7:

Howewer, I found interesting behavior:
Here is disc of repulsion in 1.8.6: http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/3272 ... ion186.jpg
Here is disc of repulsion in 1.9.7: http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/944/repulsion197.jpg
I dont know, why it's happen, but anyway "new" version of disc is better imho.

Previously I posted Pillar-ORB issues viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1246&p=13676#p13676 and now lets talk about Pillar-Door Statue direction issues: as you know, Pillar Door Statue model is always rotated back to the door or nearest wall. But something is broken in 1.15: http://storage2.static.itmages.ru/i/15/ ... 531643.png
As you see, some statues are rotated facing the door/wall.
Is it a bug and should I create the issue?
Thank you in advance
