OK here's the doomsday.out log
so anyways a couple of days after i got the required items for playing the games that are required to play them with like Resource Packs & WADs for Doom 1/2 and the 2 Final Doom WADs Also Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent riders as well as Hexen: Beyond Heretic And the Hexen: Beyond Heretic Expansion Pack WAD Death Kings of the Dark Citadel It says App init failed:
[DuplicateNameError] (Folder::add) Folder cannot contain two files with the same name: 'decorate'
i gotten rid of the Z Doom/G Z Doom files or mods but when i started up one of the games it said doomsday.exe has stopped working i need help trying to get it to work.
Doomsday often hangs at that point in loading if your video card isn't the OpenGL2 or higher required by Dday.
One can up the verbosity of the out file to include information such as OpenGL version detected (the OpenGL version should probably be included in the lowest level verbosity), by clicking the setting's tab and then developer button. You'll then see an option called 'verbose messages', which controls the verbosity of the out file (higher verbosity reduces performance of Dday).
I know the PC is capable of running Doomsday engine but the main problem is i am still unsure why Dday engine was unable to run! I mean my computer is a windows 7 32 bit and i need to know why its not working it should be capable of running Doomsday engine...
i am sending the contents of my doomsday.out files keep looking for a way to get doomsday engine running
@Jermarcus 20: I removed the four new posts you made because they contained no new information and merely duplicated the logs which you already supplied once, in the post above this one. Furthermore, you once again posted those logs without the markup I requested - I have previously edited your posts six times already to include it and do not expect to have to do it again.
Doomsday is installed in program files on Windows by default because that is where you install applications. I have never known this to be a source of problems with Doomsday ever.
The first thing you should try is disabling antialiasing with -nofsaa in Settings → Developer → Custom options.
I have tried that and are you supposed to put an minus sign before nofsaa or just put nofsaa in there? Because when i tried that it still said that it stopped working.
Command line options begin with a minus sign, yes.
As that didn't work, we'll next try to rule out any configuration issues. Create a new folder somewhere that we can use as a temporary runtime directory, for example, c:/test and then tell Doomsday to run in this folder by adding -userdir "c:/test" in Settings → Developer → Custom options (add that as written, including minus and quotation characters around the folder path). Doomsday will automatically create new config files in that folder.
The next thing we should try is reseting your persistent data - add -reset -reconfig in Settings → Developer → Custom and then run Doomsday. This will clear the reset of your persistent settings. After trying this you should remove all the extra options we added and you can remove that test folder also.
If after reseting your persistent data this is still a problem then we'll have to start looking into things like your video driver configuration.
You need to add the options I mentioned in my previous post (i.e., -reset -reconfig), then run Doomsday. After that you should then remove all the options we've added Settings → Developer → Custom over the past few days as they don't need to be applied repeatedly.
After i reinstalled the windows,i had Doomsday working online finally but if i try to join a server with a game different then the loaded one it gives me "Segmentation Viloation Error",however it works if i directly join the appropriate one to the loaded game,Note that i have the other games installed and i located the directories where i have the games so it's not happening because of missing IWADs,and i didn't load any addons.
* Oh and by the way,is it possible to change my character Visuals ? (Name, color, skin ... etc)

Although Dday nowadays uses the Shell to host MP games, this is something that hasn't been updated since the pre-shell days and thus remains at game level. It would be interesting to find out if Deng Team plan to change this in future.
In each games menu there is a multiplayer player setup menu; it can be found under newgame, multiplayer, player setup . The menu contains options to change your name and select from one of the 4 (Doom, Heretic, HeXen 1.0) or 8 (HeXen 1.1) colours available in the original Vanilla games. Doomsday has no support for skins.
According to Wikipedia this is a card from 2004 with support for OpenGL 1.3. Doomsday 1.11 onward requires OpenGL2.0 or higher (pre 1.11 Dday required OpenGL 1.4).
I've reviewed the entirety of this thread, performed all fixes which seem applicable to me, and I still can't get Doomsday 1.14.5 to run on my Win7 64-bit machine. I simply get a black pop-up window when I run Doomsday, and I have to end the process through Task Manager.
My specs:
Intel Core i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz (4 cores)
9gb DDR3 RAM
1gb AMD Radeon HD 5850 (supports OpenGL 3.2)
Windows 7 64-bit
AMD Catalyst Version 14.12
Before posting my doomsday.out file (in which there doesn't appear to be any errors or violations), let me list the command line options I've already used under Settings -> Developer -> Custom options in the Doomsday Frontend:
1. -nfsaa
2. -userdir "c:/test" [to run Doomsday in a new folder as a temporary runtime directory]
3. -reset -reconfig [with -userdir "c:/test" still in place]
4. -reset -reconfig [with -userdir "c:/test" not in place]
None of this works. I also have turned on "Always start in windowed mode" and "Force a safe (640x480) resolution".
Well, looks like I solved my problem. After going through all of that!... I simply changed the sound options from "Default" to "DirectSound," and now it works. What made me suspicious was how doomsday.out stopped logging prior to getting to any of the sound options. So I turned off all sound (set to -dummy), and the game worked. Then the switch to DirectSound brought the sound back. So my problem was a sound problem, apparently.
No, it locks up and doesn't get past the initial black screen when I use the "FMOD Ex" sound driver. It only works when I use DirectSound. I just checked it. That one little change makes all the difference.

I am eyeing the 'brightmaps.pk3' as one example; Doomsday doesn't support bright maps as of writing, but GZDoom does.

Let us know how you get on.
and if possible send pictures on how to do that or a video
Thanks!

BTW, I had to set the sound to ""SDL_mixer" to get any of the music to play (from Sycraft Remixes 4).
Does this music work for you when using the "FMOD Ex" sound driver?
