On a pair of heretic maps (666.wad and acheron.wad), I encountered that the "wr floor lower to 8 above highest floor" action does not work. I tried doomsday versions 1.9.0 and 2.1.1. In dosbox, these maps work properly. Is it possible to fix this?
With this lowering of the floor and the lift some kind of trouble. At 3-4 levels of skill do not work "82 WR floor lower to lowest floor", "83 WR floor lower to highest floor", "88 WR lift lower wait raise", at 1-2 levels of skill it works, 5 level of skill i did not check. Moreover, in the case of "88 WR lift lower wait raise" the sound appears, but there is no movement
Are you sure that Doom II does not also have this problem?
You might wish to checkout Maps 24 or 25 (the only ones I have played recently).
I found the object and monsters float above the floor and depending on your distance from them and angle of view they will drop to the floor or into the floor about half-way (especially object already on the floor, like ammo, health-kits, etc.).
Maybe this is a totally different problem?
