sound won't come back after playing itunes

Hello :). I recently disabled the music in doomsday engine via the standard in-game options menu. However, When I played the game both the music and the sound turned off. Now I cannot re-enable them. I tried deleting the doomsday profile and uninstalling. I have also tried enabling sound from the Snowberry menu, with no effect. What should I do?

  • Which version of Doomsday are you are running, on which OS and using which Doomsday sound driver?
  • I am using version 1.9.9 on windows 7, and I am using the default sound driver.
  • Are both volume sliders above zero in the Doomsday control panel?

    It may help if you posted your doomsday.out log file as this may mention any problems encountered when setting up the audio driver.

  • Your log does not appear to indicate any issues. Have you tried any of the other audio drivers, like SDL_mixer?

    I recall other ports having a bug on Windows 7 that their music volume controls also affected sound effects.
  • Hmm. I messed with the volume slider a bit more and it randomly started working, so It's fine now.
