Missing WAD files?

Hey guys,

I just downloaded the dengine, installed it and located some WADs I have, but I seem unable to run any of them.
When I click on play, it takes me to a screen where it asks me to "use the load command to load a game..." and,
if I write "load doom2" for example, it tells me that the WAD file is missing, even though I have located it before.

Does anyone know what is going on?
Thanks in advance!

  • How are you launching Doomsday? How have you directed Doomsday to your WAD files?
  • I am simply opening the application, choosing the profile I want and clicking on play.
    And I think I have directed my WAD files, when I first launched Doomsday, it asked me where the WADs for doom2, ultimate doom, etc., were.
  • Please post the command line section of you Doomsday.out
  • I am posting it all so that it is all in one place

  • According to your log you have placed your IWAD files in the directory /Applications/Games/Doomsday Engine.app, is that correct? What are the names of your IWAD files?
  • I didn't place them there, it asked me where they were in my HD and I just told it where they were, I didn't copy them to this folder. Should I do this?
    The names are DOOM.WAD, DOOM2.WAD, PLUTONIA.WAD, TNT.WAD
  • Rather than copying your files, simply change the directory specified in the frontend to the actual location of those files.
  • I just did, it is working now!
