Doomsday homepage returns

edited 2009 Jun 13 in General
If you haven't yet noticed, the Doomsday homepage has returned and is now accessible here: http://www.dengine.net

This is an interim measure whilst we finish work on the new Doomsday homepage design which I hope will be going live soon. Its certainly been a long time coming so I hope you guys like it.

The even older DHQ design (you know, the fancy purple one) that used be available via the "archived site" link on the homepage will also be returning shortly.

Good news. That page was a nice place to find resource info for the engine.

Where will be the News part in the forum?

And I would like to congratulate the new monthly release. This gives a more dynamic feedback between the coders and the users.
Maybe you guys could make a portable version of the engine, like a .zip or something, that you only have to dump to a folder and that writes everything in that folder (don't know if it already does that), so that it'd be easier to change from one version to another.
Personally, I really prefer programs that I download, unzip to a folder and it works, I delete the folder and it is unninstalled, like those in PortableApps.com.
I think it would be easier to test new version this way.
