[Solved?] 1.9.0 (beta6.9) - Crash when starting new game
O/S: Salix 64-bit 13.37 (which is basically Slackware64 13.37 under the hood)

Using snowberry, I set up my default configuration options, which was nothing more than enabling some add-ons and changing my default resolution. When I run Ultimate Doom or Doom 2, I'll get to the game's main menu, but it appears to crash to desktop when I choose New Game and pick an episode and difficulty. The "loading map" graphic does its thing, then I'm back in fluxbox.
If any more information is needed to diagnose this, let me know and I'll post it. For now, here's hoping my doomsday.out will be enough:

I'm grabbing the latest version off git as I type this, I'll post later to let you know how compilation/running goes. If this doesn't work, I'll just be patient for 1.9.7. The roadmap on the wiki says that release will fix 64-bit issues and might come out this month, so I'll get my Doom fix soon enough either way.
EDIT: Yikes, just realized the roadmap says February 2011, not 2012. Really hope it gets out soon, then!
Currently we are just supporting Ubuntu, but if I get a chance I'll install a 64-bit Slackware and see what's up with the build.
EDIT: I installed a 64-bit Slackware and checked what's up. For the most part everything worked perfectly, but there were a couple of problems with loading Doomsday's plugins. They're now fixed and AFAICS everything works as it should.
