I launch the game, I get the proper music there but then when I load a level, no music plays. When I finish that level, the score music comes and that one just won't stop playing, it will loop forever in the next level as well. How do I get the actual music back?

  • You are using the old version of the jDEP which has incomplete MapInfo definitions which will result in the loss of music. Try disabling this addon (or install the latest version) and see if that fixes the problem.
  • I don't have any add-ons installed I think. At least I don't have a snowberry directory in my folder.
  • You can see all the addons being loaded in the doomsday.out posted above. Also, you seem to be running 1.9.0-beta6.5 which is getting on a bit now, the latest release is 1.9.0-beta6.9
  • so I downloaded 1 6 9 whatever the latest version is and the game is now with sound but also in 2D again. I'm really not too good with computers, what am I doing wrong here?
  • how do you have snowberry set up as if you do not have it set up to load the models then you will not load them by default you need to enable them unless you did a complete reinstall then you would have to download them agen.

    I didn't set up anything, I just installed it and ran it. When I did that with the 1.9.0.6.5 build, everything was in 3D right away. Now it's not :)

  • I must have screwed up somewhere, I don't see anything to enable. I think I better start from scratch, is there an install guide?
  • There aren't any addons installed by default. I don't know where you found an install package that included addons but it isn't an official release package. Addons have to be installed separately.

    There isn't really an official install guide because we use an installer, which handles everything for you. Once Doomsday is installed you can then download an addon (say to your desktop) and from there you can use the front end to add them.
  • I've tried it and I just can't figure out what the addon is that gives you these 3D models - where do I find that?
