Whenever I hit "play" in Doomsday, it gives me this error multiple times and shuts down. I recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7.

  • You appear to be using 1.9.0-Beta6.3 I would suggest you upgrade to the latest beta version 1.9.0-Beta6.9 and retry.
  • I did. I don't think Doomsday.out updated since May of last year, which is why I don't think this will help.

    I also forgot to mention that I accidentally installed an old pre-Snowberry release of Doomsday before getting this problem. Would that possibly have an effect?
  • Quite possibly. The recent beta releases and the 1.8.6 stable release work somewhat differently. I would suggest you uninstall all versions of Doomsday on your system and ensure that all traces of them are removed also (delete the contents of your Doomsday and Doomsday Frontend directories). Then install a fresh copy of 1.9.0-Beta6.9
  • Tried it. Still not working. Really don't know what's going on. Doom 3 wasn't working properly either; it said OpenGL wasn't working properly.
  • Please post the doomsday.out from your latest attempt.

    This is sounding very much like a driver problem. Have you updated your video driver since the Windows7 upgrade?
