Whats the difference between the two build numbers 2.2 and 2.3

2.2 is becoming the new stable release imminently.

2.3 is the new unstable version. It has started only recently so not much has changed yet, but there is a notable new feature in that some render hacks (e.g., deep water in TNT) are now working correctly.
