Player Acceleration Question

I'm glad to see this is being addressed, but I have a question about the player acceleration in Doomsday.

Is moving forward with the keyboard have a different speed than moving forward with the mouse? It seems that when I move my mouse forward during gameplay, I get this brief burst of speed that I don't get with the keyboard. Both X and Y sensitivies on my mouse are at 1, which is the default. Is this by design or something else?

    You don't have mouselock with Doomsday? I look at the various preferences and didn't saw where you could setup this. Well not that I have any answer to your question nor that I want get back this original setup, I was only looking for such weird setup to try what you quoted.
