Fresh Install Doomsday 2.0.1 Crashes instantly [big folder, lots of data files]
Been a while since I did some dooming. I decide to install Doomsday. I snag the latest stable 64 package. Try to run it. It crashes instantly on the splash.
I try to find a log of what happens. I find C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Local\Deng Team\Doomsday Engine\runtime I only find persist.pack in it. No Doomsday.out I try deleting the folder to see if magic would happen. Magic didn't happen.
Can't find any logfile generated anywhere. I smack it with debugger sans symbols and get the following:
Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFAD408AD49 (deng_core.dll) in Doomsday.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000000112. occurred
I shut off extra programs hoping it was something interfering with the game didn't stop the extra crashes.
I try the unstable releases figuring the worst that happens is it crashes again. it still crashes. I tried the 32 bit package stable. Still crashes.
I'm using NVidia GTX 760. Drivers dated 5/1/17. I have two monitors. I'm on windows 10.

I had DOOMWADDIR set to E:\d\doom2 which is a valid directory in my filesystem I might add. By removing DOOMWADDIR from my environment variables it started working.
It would help a lot if I could see a file listing of that folder of yours. For instance, in the Windows command prompt, go to the folder and try: (Please PM me the zipped files.txt.)
