help with new doomsday /packs

I was excited to see that the new version came out. I finally got most of my iwads found and loaded. I would like to play doom and doom 2 with models, but I cannot seem to find files in the pk3 format, which it seems the new version needs. I've downloaded several different files that I found, but none are in this format, and doomsday 2 doesn't seem to recognize the older file folder formats. Will the model makers be repackaging these in a usable form?

Doomsday 2 uses a new package format (with a .pack extension) that is required for any of the new 3D model rendering features to work.

I am planning on updating the Add-ons page here on dengine.net with the latest models in the near future when there's a suitable moment for it.

@veirdo has a couple of Hexen models, such as the excellent Sapphire Wand and Serpent Staff player weapons, that you can find at the top of this thread: http://dengine.net/talk/discussion/1887/sapphire-wand-2-0/p1

The older model packs in PK3/Box format should still work also (like the original jDRP), however some of the packs/models may have outdated or invalid metadata that prevents Doomsday from loading them without minor edits.
