Unplayable on Mac w/ Local Server

edited 2016 Jun 14 in Technical Support
I've been loving Doomsday Engine with one caveat: the frame rate drops to < 1fps on my Macbook Pro the instant someone spools up a `doomsday-server` on the local network. The effect appears to be the same whether the server is running locally on the Mac or on any other computer on the network.

When I was trying to run a server on the Mac itself, the Doomsday Shell front-end was also slow to the point of appearing frozen.

This happens on both the latest Stable and Unstable builds.

The machine in question is an early 2013 Retina Macbook Pro running OS X 10.11.4.

This might be related to the LAN autodiscovery feature, could you try launching with the "-nodiscovery" command line option?

I'm developing Doomsday on a MacBook Pro (Late 2013), and the server appears to be running ok for me.
