Doom Crashes after killing an enemy.

I tried to play Doom via the Doomsday Engine, but I have been noticing that every time I kill the first soldier at the beginning of the game, I might be able to play the game for a few more moments before the engine crashes. What gives?

GPU: AMD Radeon 7520G
CPU: AMD A6-4400M
RAM: 6 GB
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
