Hexen end of hub text not showing up

For some reason when I get to the end of a hubb the text thing just says (not found) instead of what it is supposed to

Try updating Hexen to version 1.1. I was told to do so to solve that very same problem but I haven't yet found time to do so unfortunately.

dumb question but how do you apply the patch theres no exe file
