Doomsday 1.15 update problem

edited 2015 Jul 1 in Technical Support
I am running Linux Mint 13 32-Bit (12.04 LTS, Precise). After code.iki.fi produced hash sum mismatch errors in Update Manager for some time, I received the update to doomsday 1.15 today. However the doomsday file was just 1Kb in size and since the update was installed Doomsday will no longer start. What is wrong? Have you stopped providing Doomsday for Precise?

That is correct, yes. Nowadays we are building binaries for Ubuntu Trusty, i.e., 14.04 LTS.

It appears something went wrong with the packaging of the 1.15.1 release on the Ubuntu builders. I'll investigate... There should be a working build up on Launchpad, though.

It might be possible to compile Doomsday from source on Linux Mint 13, however I haven't tried it myself. I'm not sure if the GNU C++ compiler has sufficient C++11 support in that release (backports of newer GCC versions might be available). Other dependencies might also be missing.
