  • My interpretation of this is that Doomsday is doing something with OpenGL that your drivers don't like.

One thing that we could try is this: go to your runtime folder and delete (or rename) "persist.pack" (this will reset a number of engine settings to defaults), and then start Doomsday directly by double clicking Doomsday.exe in Windows Explorer. This will ensure that Snowberry's additional options are not interfering.

When started this way, Doomsday will likely ask you to locate your IWAD folder before it lets you start a game.
  • That didn't work. If I down grade back to build 1542 everything works fine. Any build after 1542 stopped working. There are no more GL Drivers available for the Sony Vaio.
  • Please submit a bug report in the tracker: http://tracker.skyjake.fi/projects/deng/issues/new

It will be difficult to figure out what is causing the crash because I can't reproduce it on any of the Intel GPUs I have at my disposal. At this stage the best hope is that we can figure out what needs to be disabled for things to work on your drivers (perhaps adding some new options to disable things).
  • It's asking for a Login and Pass word. For some reason it doesn't like mine?
  • You'll need to register a new account in the tracker, if you haven't submitted any bugs before.
  • From the looks of your log output, it would seem you have at least one old file - bin/wadmapconverter.dll - lying around in your installation folder. I'd guess that at some point you installed over the top of a much older version of Doomsday. Have you tried uninstalling, ensuring all old files are deleted and then reinstalling?
  • I have deleted everything including cleaning out the registry. I have search everywhere for that dll file and it's no where to be found. It also says in the out file that the module cannot be found. I tried skyjakes way and it hung on starting game saying doomsday.exe not responding.
