The game acts like it's loading then gives this message. This is the end of the message. Any Ideas.

  • Anything on this problem?
  • Looks like this board is dead. No response at all.
  • There has been several reports of Doomsday 1.11 (and later) having problems with Intel OpenGL drivers (particularly on Intel HD 4000). This is almost certainly related to the way the post-processing shaders do offscreen rendering. Currently there is no sure fix for the problem, however these workarounds have helped some people in the past:
    • Use the "-nofsaa" option at launch.
    • Use a smaller display resolution.
    • Upgrade the Intel OpenGL driver, if possible.
    • Downgrade to Doomsday 1.10.
  • Thanks the response. This only happened recently with 1.15. Where do I add the command at launch?
  • In the frontend, type "-nofsaa" in Settings > Developer > Custom Options.

If you have been using previous versions 1.11–1.14, and the problem only appeared recently in 1.15 unstable, you might also try deleting persist.pack from your runtime folder. (The same can be achieved with the "-reset" option.)
  • skyjake the commands didn't work so I went back to 1.14 and it started working. So I'm up to 1.15.1503 and is still working. Let's see where the problem started. I'm going to try to upgrade the OpenGL Driver but it's Sony and Intel doesn't recommend to do it because it's custom to Sony. The version where the error started is 1.15.1549. 1.15.1542 works fine. So what changed between 1542 and 1549. I already have the latest Intel OpenGL Driver that they have for a Sony Vaio. So what's next.
  • If you can pinpoint the exact build where the problem first appears, that should help us track down the source of the issue.
  • The version where the error started is 1.15.1549
  • Anything on this.
  • The changes between 1542 and 1549 do contain things related to the post-processing shader, which might trigger some bad/unexpected behavior in the Intel OpenGL driver, particularly if Doomsday attempts to do something that isn't fully supported on the hardware.

However, I'm not seeing any obvious reason why the crash would start in that build.
  • I made sure I installed each version until I found when it would crash. 1549 is where the problem started. Hope fully you can put a fix to this. Thanks. Keep me updated please.
  • Any progress on this.
