Ultimate Doom: Not able to start E4M1 from Menu

Hi all,

if you take a look at the build page (http://www.dengine.net/builds), you will find the last builds of v1.15.

As is tried the latest build 1483 I was not able to start E4M1 in the Game! (New Game / Single Player / Thy Flesh Consumed...)
Instead of E4M1 the game starts E3M1!

My setup is correct (Ultimate Doom in launcher, Ultimate Doom WAD....etc.).

I took the time and tested ALL the builds available right now (from 1395 to 1483) - build for build....
Build 1395 - 1416: It's working fine and i can start E4M1 as normal.
Build 1420 - 1483 (current): These builds are buggy and I'm not able to start E4M1.


Am I the first one recognizing this?

  • i did find this as well. i suspect it has something to do with the 4th selection not registering properly due to the fact we now have the ability to make our own episodes. i need to look into it further.

    right here thats causing the problems. just replace the 3 with a 4 and your good to go. it's a small fix.

    Edit 2: you can find this in the libdoom.pk3 under data/jdoom there you want doom1-ultamet.mapinfo
  • Clearly a typo in the current unstable build of 1.15 - I'll ensure thats fixed for the next build
