Game hangs after map load

Hi, I'm facing the following issue with Doom2: the game is starting fine, I can travel through menus and start a new game. Then the music plays but the game freezes. Strange thing is that two days ago I had absolutely no problem. I then un/re-installed with no more success.
Note that without jDRP the game runs fine.

This is weird and frustrating :|

Edit:I finally copied across the original DOOM2.WAD and the game ran a couple of time.
Unfortunately, now it is back to step 1 again. Is there some sort of cache that I could clean?

  • Found two issues in the jDRP today.
    1. jdrp.box\required\jdrp-particles.1.01.pk3 contains compressed TGA textures which is causing the error message

    I fixed all textures and created a replacement file.
    I tried to attach the fixed file but the forum keeps telling me I cannot attach PK3 or whatever suffix I choose.

    2. The file jdrp-shinemaps.1.01.pk3 is both in the required and normal section causing a conflict.
    I removed it from the mandatory section.

    I have no more error message when loading jDRP.
    Despite that, the game still hangs as soon as a 3D model is drawn.
    I for example only validated the health potion and started from scratch. The game runs fine until it has to display the first potion in the corridor. Then it hangs.

    I'm left without idea.
  • Finally found the last issue.
    I went in the NVidia control panel and chose the option:
    Threaded optimization On

    The game is almost fine. I still miss the music.
