Immediate crash on startup of any game (winxp SP3, 1.14)
Hey, hey, Doom fans! First, love the engine. Been using it for a few years now. Great work!
I'm trying to install on a terrible laptop running XP SP3, with 2gig RAM and on-board Intel graphics. It's really very terrible. Just awful. And I know XP isn't really supported, but maybe I can get it going with a bit of help?
The frontend works fine, but launching any game results in an immediate 'had to shut down' error. I've tried various compatibility modes and settings. The log sayeth:
That's as far as it gets. Short, no? I have the requirements listed here, except possibly the 3d accelleration. I'm using the Intel 945GM chipset. I'm fairly sure it has 3d acceleration. It's got the latest driver.
Any ideas?
