Can't load ultimate doom wad

Hey everyone,

I'm new to doomsday engine. I've got it mostly figured out. I can run doom 2 and both final doom wads but I'm having trouble loading ultimate doom. I've tried changing the wads name. I'm using version 1.10.4.0 because the latest version kept crashing when I tried to launch every time. I'm not sure what other information is needed to post to help anyone help me so take it easy on a Dengine newb but a DooM veteran!!! Thanks very much!!!

it's the same way for loading as all the other iwads now the ultimate doom wad is just doom.wad but can be played in the doom setting and it's own but in the doom setting it dose not have the 4th episode now if your loading said wad from the doom3 BFG edition then theirs your problem. as doomsday dose not work with the BFG iwads

Doomsday can run with the BFG Edition Iwads; it just assumes they are 1.9 Iwads, which leads to a few non-fatal issues with the Doom2 BFG Iwad such as a non-working secret exit on Map02, no title pic graphic etc etc.

When I try to load doom, it goes to the command prompt. It says only 3 games are playable even though I have 4 doom wads being doom, doom2, and the final doom wads.

Are you sure your Ultimate Doom wad is named 'Doom.wad', isn't modified (i.e time stamp) and is in the folder Dday is actually looking in for your Iwads?

Contrary to what Snowberry suggests Dday actually loads all the Iwads it finds in the single folder it's pointed at.

Snowberry wasn't updated to visually show this, only retrofitted under the hood (i.e the Snowberry setup asking for the location of every Iwad is arguably needless now days), as it is due to be retired completely in the future, as all it's functionality is moved in engine.

Snowberry was retrofitted under the hood to tell Dday when you press play, that the 'Iwad location path' for the highlighted profile is one's Iwad folder and also to immediately launch the Iwad (i.e the game) it finds on the end of the 'Iwad location path'.

yes i had all that correct. i dl'd a different wad and i got it to work. that was wierd cuz i was using the same wad i have on my nvidia shield for doom gles and its fine on there. thak you all for the help
