Flags Fail in 7 Portals

edited 2014 Jan 30 in Technical Support
While playing Hexen as a mage, when returning from the Guardian of Ice level to the Seven Portals, the "Welcome mortal..." monologue plays again, the door is shut, and the green chaos serpents have respawned, as if this were my first time entering the level. Additionally, I cannot proceed through the level. It continues to do this, even if I go through the Guardian of Ice level again.

Presumably, this is an issue with the game either not referencing or setting the flags appropriately for completed actions.

Any thoughts? Is anyone having the same issue?

Specifics of my computer are as follows, though I don't know that any of this information is helpful:
jHexen Version: 1.14.0 #1123

Mods:
- jXCCP 1.31
- Hexen Mage Weapons 1.2
- Hexen Texture Pack 2010.07.14

Comments

  • In Builds 1122 and 1123 (see the commit log), HeXen's ACS is in the process of being worked on and thus issues may occur.

It looks like the ACS state isn't being preserved between levels.
  • Indeed I'm currently in the process of some rather large changes to ACS and game state serialization. Its likely a bug has crept in somewhere in the process, in the latest unstable build.

Edit: Found the problem, a simple typo (!= vs ==). Fixed.
