Segmentation violation upon game start

Greetings.

I recently upgraded to the latest version of the Doomsday Engine (1.13.2).

I tried to start the game (Final Doom, TNT Experiment) to pick up where I left off (MAP18: Mill).

Unfortunately, the game would crash almost immediately--after the environs and the status bar would be displayed (but before the status bar shows any information). The weapon doesn't get a chance to apppear. (This is my best attempt to illustrate what I see, as the game crashes quickly.)

  • Are you trying to load a saved game to play Map 18 or are you using the console command "warp 18"?

    From your Doomsday.out I do not see the "warp" command. Sometimes a new version of Doomsday will not support older Doomsday saved games.

    I have Win 7 64 bit using Doomsday engine version 1.14.0 and it warps successfully to Map 18.
  • also too savegame data might not be able to handle not having the resources put in or taken out.
