Note: When reporting a technical problem/bug it is nearly always helpful to include a copy of your doomsday.out log (be nice to our forum layout and use the code button when you do). Your log will help tremendously in diagnosing likely causes (and potential solutions).
You shouldn't need to upload an attachment for this -- use the {code} button when submitting a reply and then copy & paste the contents of doomsday.out into your message.
Have you installed over the top of a much older version of Doomsday? (I notice from your log Doomsday is attempting to load a dplay.dll)
Also, you appear to have placed your IWADs in the /Doomsday/modules folder. It would be better to put these in your documents folder (for example) as storing user data alongside the application's data is typically not such a good idea.
Updating didn't seem to be a problem in Win 7. Win 8.1 seems to be a problem. Should I uninstall Doomsday Engine and install 1.12 or 1.13 and move the wads into my documents file. Should they be moved to Doomsday Frontend? If so can I put them into a folder called wads.
I uninstalled Doomsday completely. I made sure all registry entry's were gone so I could get a clean install of 1.12. Install went well. I placed the Iwads in the snow berry profile folder. This is where I have them on Windows 7. I start up Doomsday engine no problem. When I chose a game to play this is when I get the message doomsday engine stops working. Here's a new copy of Doomsday.out file.
