Sycraft Soundtrack Question...

Out of curiosity, are external music packs still broken with the Beta6 line? I threw Sycraft's v3 Heretic music (downloaded from http://files.dengine.net/) into the addon's and enabled it through Snowberry, and I got nothing, not even music for the main menu. Just the sound effects.

The console shows an error stating
Mus_GetExt: Song titl: Music\mus_titl.ogg not found

Sound driver is on SDL, all default settings. Have tried changing assorted options in the Control Panel, no luck. But the MIDI works fine when I disable the AddOn in Snowberry.

    the DED is written wrong for the newer versions of Doomsday... Doom was having a problem that, although similar, you could at least hear some of the music some of the time I guess... all you have to do is add the lump names, and so I've done that in a DED and here's a link:

    the console will still say that it is missing after it sees the ogg file as inconsistent, but the audio should play ;)

    That issue was fixed by Sycraft in the v4 release (available from http://files.dengine.net).

    Actually, the v4 Heretic Soundtrack isn't available from http://files.dengine.net/. I read on his site that he released it, but on the Files site, only V3 is available. Just thought I'd point that out, not trying to be a bother.

    There never was a V4 of the Heretic or HeXen soundtracks. Sycraft just decided to jump to V5 for his latest WIP versions, skipping V4, to make the numbering for all the packs identical (V1 of the Heretic and HeXen soundtracks were released along side V2 of the Doom soundtrack and so on).

    The Heretic and HeXen soundtrack download links on his site are V3.

    Oops, my bad. You're right Vermil, only V3 of the Heretic exists; but he's actually on Hexen V5 and it is, in fact, available on his site.

    So is this problem addressed in version 5? Regardless, we should update files.dengine.net to mirror the latest version.

    The downloads for the Doom and Heretic packs on files.dengine.net are the most up to date. However, the HeXen music pack was never uploaded to the page.

    The latest versions of Sycrafts packs are Doom V4, Heretic V3 and HeXen V5. Though there was never actually a V4 of the HeXen soundtrack.
