Plutonia2 Map10 Render Hack

Plutonia has those exit teleporters that are gray/black squares with a blinking light on the bottom and top. In Plutonia2 Map10, the exit teleporter is surrounded by horizontal-facing "exit teleporters" that are mounted on the wall (as if it looks like you're going to be completely zapped out of the area). After looking in Doom Builder it does appear some fudging was needed to make it display correctly, and in Doomsday, you can see those light diamond tiles on the floor, as opposed to being in the middle.

Does this have any relation to that render hack used in AV Map23?

  • I'm guessing you are using build #982 -- a refactoring oversight (which has since been fixed) means that texture coordinates are being miscalculated in this build. This area should render correctly with the current master.
  • Nope, I'm still on build 979 (I saw the other topic about build #982 so I decided not to upgrade).

    This is my first time checking this area under any build of Doomsday, so I do not know if it was supported in earlier builds. Or was this added in between #979 and #982?
  • I've just double checked and indeed this issue remains. It should be a fairly straight forward fix; the wall lights are being positioned relative to the mapped ceiling in this hack rather than the original one.
