Intermission screen missing after map30 in Doom II games

Don't know if this was intentional or not, but after completing Map30 in any Doom II-based game, you skip the intermission screen and go right to the story text. In Vanilla Doom, an intermission screen was present after finishing Map30.

  • This is a 1.11 regression. The intermission was displayed correctly in previous versions.

Back in Dday 1.8/1.9, after map infine used to play before the intermission. This meant the intermission screen at the end of Doom2 was mistakenly never played.

Sometime in 1.9 this was 'fixed' by making after map infine play after the intermission instead. However some old Dday mods were designed expecting the old behaviour for after map infine.

This seems to have been 'regressed' in some way for 1.11.

I'd like to suggest that rather than un-regress literally, that a third ouside map infine type be added instead?

[*]'After infine' plays directly after the map, before the intermission, as it did in 1.8/1.9
[*] A new 'Between infine' plays after the maps intermission
[*]'Before infine' continues to play directly before the map as it always has

This means old mods aren't broken, while fixing the bug (the Doom2 ending infine can be changed to this new third type) and allows more mod flexibility. 'Between' may not be the best name for it though.
  • I have made the changes related to this. I have now "un-regressed" it so that the map's After InFine plays after intermission.

It is unfortunate that old mods are now (1.10+) incompatible. Vermil's idea is nice, I will consider it.
