[RESOLVED]Unable to change controls after upgrading doomsday

Hi there devs and forumers !

I updated my local copy of doomsday engine to the last build (923 atm), but since then, i'm unable to change any control when I'm playing DOOM2 (havent't tried with other ones).
I'm using OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2.
The problem is that when I try to change a control in the options, doomsday crashs immediately ...
Anybody already fixed that on his box ?

By the way I'd love to join the doomsday.out file, but I'm unable to find it.. :s If somebody can tell me where it is I'll put the tail of the file here (between code tags of course)

[EDIT: ]

Ok, sorry, I found the file.
There's the tail of the log :
You got the shotgun!
You got the shotgun!
Picked up a clip.
Picked up an armor bonus.
Picked up an armor bonus.
Game saved.

I saved before I tried to change a control because I knew it would crash.

It doesn't look like I have any information on the crash...
Process doesn't seems to have terminated naturally.

Thanks a lot.

  • Which version of Doomsday were you using prior to the upgrade? How did you perform the upgrade, manually or using the built-in updater?
  • I don't know which version I was using, actually I don't remember.
I did remove the folder from Applications, then downloaded the last build and installed it, I thought everything would be overridded if needed...
  • Usually everything is overridden/updated as necessary when upgrading. However as there appears to have been a problem it would help to know which version you upgraded from (or perhaps a rough estimation of the last time you upgraded/installed?).

Have you tried resetting your controls from the console and then attempting to rebind?
    clearbindings;defaultbindings

  • Thank you DaniJ it just worked fine.
