Installing and running doomsday engine.

Everytime I try to run the Doomsday Engine on my mac it never seems to work.
I start the program and it shuts down after It starts up or gives me an error
saying it is not properly installed. How do I set this program up on a proper
step by step basis and where can I get the mods that will run the games I want to
play?

I'm primarily a Mac user so I should be able to help you. A few questions:

• Which Mac are you using (model, year)?
• Which version of OS X are you running?
• Which version of Doomsday are you trying to run?
• When it fails to launch, there may be error messages printed to the system log or doomsday.out (see the wiki and/or the link in the top of this forum page to see where to find it). If you find any, please copy and post them here. (Use Apple's Console.app to see the system log.)
• Do you own the original games (e.g., a registered copy of DOOM) and therefore have the original data file? It is required for launching a game with Doomsday.
