Heretic Sky fog(?)

Hello,
I'm unsure if this is a bug or how to call it but when playing heretic my sky's top area is fogged like in picture below. Is this intended behaviour or can I remove the fog? It's been so long since I played the original that I can't remember if it was there.

Yes that is intentional. The reason the "fog" is there is to mask the fact that Doomsday has to somehow turn a low resolution two dimensioned sky graphic into a seamless three dimensional sky. The original games restricted how far the player could look up/down, so the limited representation of the sky was never an issue.

You could try looking for/making a 3d model add-on to replace the 2d sky, however.
