Coop with normal weapon spawns and drops

Hello,

Ive been trying to setup a coop Doom 1 (same with ultimate doom) Game without the deathmatch/coop weapons but with all normal and enemy weapon drops.

my doomsday shell is 1.10.1

The server command "server-game-coop-noweapons 1" doesn't only remove the deathmatch/coop weapons from the coop game but also ALL weapons and ammo (even the backpack and enemy weapon and ammo drops)
So people run around with their pistol, starting ammo and that's it.

How can I get it to work properly?

    This sounds like a bug.

    Back in the 1.8.6 days, this option did only remove the MP flagged weapons/items.
  • Hmm.. is there any way around this bug?
    (for a normal not to good at programming person? ;) )

  • As you found, the definition for this cvar (according to the console help) doesn't match what the code actually does. It not only prevents those items from being spawned when the map first starts but they cannot be dynamically spawned during the game either. Presumably it was intended to only work at map start and only disable spawning of weapons flagged in the map for multiplayer.
  • So if it worked in a previous release, it should be a simple fix ? :D
