Frontend (Snowberry) extra command line params [Resolved]

edited 2012 Nov 27 in Technical Support
It seems the easiest way to launch a dedicated server is with the Snowberry front-end, however I can't find a way to add extra command line params to pass through to the game using this method.

Is there a way to pass command line params through to Doomsday with the Snowberry front-end? I'm trying to do this for multiplayer game options like map, level, skill, etc. Otherwise it seems I have to create a batch file with a crap ton of params which are shown in "Preview Command Line" in Snowberry. Or the other option is to set these options manually from the console each time the dedicated server runs.

Thanks. Sorry if I missed something obvious. I'm running 1.9.8.

  • 1. click on 'settings' tab.
    2. click on the 'developer' option.
    3. 'custom options' is the field you enter command line options in.

The field probably should actually be called 'command line'. If nothing else because, as far as I am aware, the documentation doesn't state that Snowberry calls the command line custom option.
  • Thanks Vermil - definitely misleading :)
