Error starting games.

Hello. I'm having trouble running Doomsday on my XP PC, and Doomsday seems to work fine on my other Vista machine.

Anyway, every time I try to play Doom or any one of its derivatives, I receive this error:
Sys_CriticalMessage: Main window not available.
Sys_CriticalMessage: Main window not available.
Sys_CriticalMessage: Main window not available.
Error creating main window.

The Doomsday.out file displays:
Z_Create: New 32.0 MB memory volume.
Con_Init: Initializing the console.
Executable: Version 1.9.0-beta6.4 Jul 6 2009 (DGL).
Sys_InitWindowManager: Using Win32 window management.
Z_Create: New 32.0 MB memory volume.
createContext: OpenGL.

I would be greatly appreciative of any input you can provide. Thanks.

First thing to check: are the display drivers up to date on the XP PC? (What is the graphics card installed in it, or does it have an embedded graphics chip?)

It's an NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000.

I'm getting the same errors on my windows 7 X64 laptop.

Maybe the driver is outdated. Try to get a newer one here:
