Missing automap player on new laptop; crash report

I got a new laptop, and I tried out Doomsday to see how well it would play on my new laptop. One of the things I noticed is that the player's arrow on the automap does not display. However, this works completely fine on my desktop, where I do see the player's white arrow on the automap. If video hardware counts, I have the Intel HD Graphics 3000 on my laptop (latest driver, too), as compared to an ATI RADEON X700 on my desktop. Does anyone else get this problem?

Also wanted to follow up on this issue. I tried experimenting with other Doomsday builds on my laptop, such as 1.9.8-1 stable, and some unstable 1.9.8 builds, and I still get the issue above.

Also, I get crash messages sometimes when I quit Doomsday with the recent builds. Doomsday doesn't get interrupted and crashed, it's just when I return to the desktop I get an error message. Here's the error message that I got:

  • I wanted to follow up on this bug. This does seem like a video card driver problem. I reverted back to an old driver for my Intel HD Graphics 3000 video card (version 8.15.10.2622) and the white arrow showed up in the automap when I ran Doomsday.

However, the white arrow again does not show up when I put back the latest driver for my video card (8.15.10.2761).

I am also running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit.
