main menu and in game sprites not showing up in game

I just downloaded the new version on Doomsday but when i play the game the main menu and the ingame sprites do not show up there all white boxxes the only sprites that show up are the monsters


how do I fix this

Please tell us about your system, which OS you are using, video card/driver configuration, etc... It would also be very helpful to see your doomsday.out log file (we can determine a great deal about your system and configuration from it).
