Proper 1366x768 support

edited 2012 Mar 14 in General
I would like to say that this version of the engine is by far the best so far. One small problem lingers - no proper 1366x768 support. I can run it at this resolution, however, it tends to stretch, rather than fit, unlike GZDoom. So everything looks slightly squashed. If this, and some minor resolution change bugs can be fixed, this port would even greater than it already is now.

  • We have introduced various new cvars which control this behavior in version 1.9.7

inlude-stretch - used for the intermission in DOOM
    menu-stretch - used for the game's menu
rend-hud-stretch - used for the HUD weapon

By default all are set to use an intelligent automatic stretching when the window's aspect ratio is relatively close to that of the original game. In your 1366x768 case, this stretching should be disabled if you want aspect correct scaling (note that windowing will be applied).
  • Ok, thanks for that. There's a bug, however. Whenever the loading or saving graphic comes up, the display warps with a slanted grayscale appearance.
