Beta6.5 (T Minus About 7 Days)

We are again nearing the next scheduled patch release, which at least currently is looking a <a href="http://dengine.net/dew/index.php?title=Version_1.9.0-beta6.5">bit spare</a> due to me working on libdeng2 and DaniJ being busy with Real Life.

If we can manage it, these should still be looked at:

The following issues have since been addressed (fixed) for this release:

  • I'm all set to do the OS X and source releases tomorrow.
  • I'm doing the Win32 release as well this time. I've updated SDL_net and SDL_mixer to their latest versions, and switched to Python 2.6 for Snowberry. Also, I'm using the DirectX SDK from March 2009.

    The Heretic E5M2 issue will have to wait until the next release...
  • I must admit that I'm quite glad to hear you say that as I'm really struggling for time to spare on deng presently.

    BTW, I did get your latest reply to the email regarding the map data and I'll respond to that when I finish work today.
  • OK. I think I'm going to take a look at the foundations of the new "command language" as the next immediate task. I do have some ideas about the map stuff but they could use some time on the back burner, so to speak.
