Problems With Multiplayer Servers

Hello, here I will write the problem of the server from which I can not see, and I do not see them. I will indicate not always, but sometimes I will do it. Honestly say I do not understand why I can not connect to them. Some servers can connect to, and some do not. It is a matter of chance.

Today it is not working:

One day when I was playing in multiplayer, one player asked me: - What port I play? I said that on the Doomsday port, and he said that playing with me on zDoom port.
From this I conclude that on the Master Server, some ports are visible to each other, but connected to each other can not. (Nevertheless, we are somehow connected to each other). That's why we often see the data from the server and connect to it, we can not. Correct me if I'm wrong.
