        <description><![CDATA[Hi all, playing in a multiplayer session with a friend of mine, i've noticed that only the green skin of Corvus was working so i've investigated the problem and i've fixed the files:<br /><blockquote>

contained in the folder:<br /><blockquote>

<div>/Data/jHeretic/Models/Actors/Corvus/</div>
</blockquote>
inside the <b>jhrp+psy-20100928.pk3</b> file.<br /><br />
They contained incorrect file names for the skins.<br /><br />
So i would like to share the fixed pk3 and propose to making it available on the Doomsday site in the Add-ons section.<br /><br />
Is there a place where i can upload the file or send it to some admin?<br /><br />

        <description><![CDATA[Can some kind soul give me a quick update on what addons are available for Heretic (using DE 2.2.1 which I just downloaded and installed!)?   It's been a lotta years since I had DE installed/configured but I'm hoping to get involved.<br />
So far I have downloaded the .pk3 available here (dated 2010.09.28) which is actually what I was using the last time I worked with DE!  And it does work great!  I am wondering if there are other mods/addons, models or textures or whatever.<br />
Seems like there's less activity with Heretic than Doom &amp; Hexen which is a shame, they're all great in their own way and I love Heretic.  Unfortunately I'm a coder not a 3D modeler or graphic artist! LOL  But if I can contribute in any way I certainly will.<br /><br />
Please let me know if there is anything more available than the 1 pk3 mod I got here.  Much appreciated in advance!<br />]]>

I stepped from Hexen for a while to start some models for Heretic. The first model will be Ethereal Crossbow, as a most popular weapon. It's design on sprites is very poor and lack of details and required wooden shoulders support and fire release systems. I made a new episode for Heretic and I wanted to be supported in most doom ports, so I tried Doomsday and here are some issues<br /><br />
1) After finnishing first map it shows only blackscreen, music is playing, but nothing is happening...<br />
When i load the save position and try it agian, it happens again.<br /><br />
It doesn't seem to happening in other maps (which is strange, because it shows the same Heretic Map). The map of the word was edited, but still...<br /><br />
2) Sometimes there are FPS drops when there are too big spaces and too much enemies - there is nothing you I can do to avoid this? I mean, the engine doesn't assume too complex maps and such?<br /><br />
3) Some textures doesn't work and it shows only black color instead. Why?<br /><br />

There were some errors but nothing major has changed, I haven't added anything or altered the original jHRP other than resolving these issues which were mostly changes to .ded files to fix some syntax problems.<br /><br />
I have a working pack right now if anyone wants it, but I'm not finished.<br />
When all issues are resolved, I'm hoping that we in the DE/Heretic community might work together to enhance the pack.<br /><br />

        <description><![CDATA[Guys...  I'm totally at a loss about these addons.  Either they're screwed up, or I lost them.  The decorations for jHeretic, remember those?  Yeah, well, unless someone still has them (and if you do, PLEASE post a link or send them to my e-mail) then they're gone.  I put them up on another filesharing site which deleted them after so many days or something.  Oh well...<br /><br />
If not, then basically almost everything I ever did for jHeretic and/or jHexen in the past two years may be gone to nothing...<br /><br />

        <description><![CDATA[When DE loads jHRP it throws an error saying "Failed to load [...]\textures\Particle00.tga".  In Doomsday.out it says the same, but gives no other information about the cause of the failure.  The file Particle00.tga does in fact exist and I opened it with Paint.NET just fine.  As a test I replaced that file with a copy of Particle01.tga and DE loaded that file just fine.  Obviously I'd rather have the correct image, so I'm wondering why that file would not load.  I would guess that there are requirements for what those images can be.  Assuming that jHRP worked ok on pre 2.0 DE I am wondering if the requirements have changed?<br /><br />

        <description><![CDATA[Greetings all - I am working on getting jHRP working with the new DE 2.0.<br />
Several of the errors are "Flag 'xxx_xxxxx' is not defined (or is used out of context)"<br />
I am new to creating resource packs for DE and trying to learn as I go.<br /><br />
The flags are: gnf_dietouch, ptf_srcdir, and ptf_srcvel<br />
I am guessing that DE is expecting these to be defined in a .ded file (no files in the resource pack contain those flag name strings).<br />
I've been reading Doomsday.out but it doesn't indicate which .ded file it's reading when it finds those errors.<br /><br />
Am I on the right track?<br />
Can anyone offer any advice or info about those flags?<br />

        <description><![CDATA[Greetings all - I just wanted to see if anyone else out there is working with jHRP and DE 2.0.<br />
I'm working off the jHRP that SkyJake recently put up for download here, along with build 1802 of DE 2.0 (intending to stay as current as possible).  The pack does load but throws several errors, and additionally has problems displaying weapons.  I've been trying to resolve the issues and hopefully contribute a fully working jHRP to go along with DE 2.0.  My hope is that I can include enhancements from other packs if it's appropriate and if I can do it.  I'm new to DE resource packs (other than using jHRP), so I'll be learning as I go.  If anyone else out there is working with the same stuff perhaps we can share information.<br /><br />

Currently ready Bias lighting for the E1M1-E1M3 maps. If anyone has interest for this:<br />
1) Put ded-files from attachment in the Snowberry\Addons folder and activate these files in the Snowberry.<br />
2) Run Doomsday and without starting new level - enabling Bias lighting feature in the console:

I've got the texture pack downloaded and installed, but cannot get anything from the torrent file for the model addons. Is there a file that can be downloaded form somewhere containing the 3d sprite models?<br /><br />

        <description><![CDATA[I just played through Heretic E1 using Doomsday 1.9b6.7 and the jHRP dated 2009-07-03.  E1 is supposed to have no weapons higher than the Claw, but I found several Firemaces lying around.  The first one was in E1M3, near the yellow key.  A hidden door opens when you grab the key, with a couple warriors behind it, and the Firemace was in that little room.  I turned off the resource pack and tried again and the firemace wasn't there.  Turned it back on and it was back.<br /><br />
Now I just started a new game and no firemace.  Weird.<br /><br />
Does this sound familiar to anyone?]]>

i totally love playing heretic, and sometimes i like to play from 3rd person view as well.<br />
and i noticed that the current corvus model always shows holding the staff, no matter what weapon you have equiped, while in doom the marine model actually shows holding the weapon you have equiped.<br /><br />
it would be so cool if someone would also make variations of the corvus model holding different weapons so the model actually shows holding the model you have equiped just like in doom with the jdrp.<br /><br />
i would sooo love to see that, since i play heretic a lot more then doom, and think its a shame corvus doesnt show with different weapons just like the space marine does in doom]]>

This can be disabled by simply removing or deleted the DED, and it won't harm the rest of the pack, but will just restore bobbing to all of the items.</b><br /><br />
Sorry for not making it an .addon or .box option, but I'm still a little fuzzy on how to get it to work just how I want it to - maybe when more packs are assembled!]]>

        <description><![CDATA[I've decided to release this little pack that I've compiled over the years.  Basically what I did was listen to each and every Heretic track using about 20 of the best SoundFonts available on the internet, and made mp3s of the ones that have the best quality and sound the most faithful.  In some cases, I even combined the best parts of several sound fonts for optimal results.  I also added some chorus and reverb effects where I felt they sounded good.  I hope my effort was worth it and that people enjoy this new soundtrack!<br /><br />
Every track in the game is replaced by what I hope people people will find to be the highest quality and most faithful replacements.  I do not take credit for actually producing this music;  I merely spent hours listening to all the Soundfonts on the internet and picked the best of the best.<br /><br />
