native support for modern gamepad controllers

Are there any plans to add native support for xbox360 controllers to the doomsday engine ?

in the meantime, what 3rd party software can I use to enable use of a 360 controller within doomsday ?

    Revised joystick and joypad support is indeed planned (with native XBox 360 features). Firstly however we need to implement the input driver proposal.

    Presently joypad support is less than ideal, however, requiring a bit of manual setup from the console. Try searching the forums (and wiki), though, as this question quite frequently comes up.
